The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The time of people's reckoning has drawn near, and yet they turn aside in heedlessness. 1 Whenever a new advice comes to them from their Lord, they do not listen to it except while playing. 2 With their hearts occupied (with evil things) those who do wrong, conceal their private counsels, (saying): "Is this (Muhammad SAW) more than a human being like you? Will you submit to magic while you see it?" 3 Say: "My Sustainer knows whatever is spoken in heaven and on earth; and He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing." 4 "Nay," they say, "(these are) medleys of dream! - Nay, He forged it! - Nay, He is (but) a poet! Let him then bring us a Sign like the ones that were sent to (Prophets) of old!" 5 Not a township believed of those which We destroyed before them (though We sent them portents): would they then believe? 6 The messengers that We had sent before you were only men to whom We had given revelation. Ask the People of the Book if you do not know. 7 We did not give them bodies that needed no food, nor were they to live forever. 8 then We made true the promise We gave them and We delivered them, and whomsoever We would; and We destroyed the prodigal. 9 We have certainly sent down to you a Book in which is your mention. Then will you not reason? 10
