Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
