We sent Noah to his people. He said: "O my people, worship God, for you have no other god but He. Will you not take heed for yourselves?" 23 The chiefs of the Unbelievers among his people said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: his wish is to assert his superiority over you: if Allah had wished (to send messengers), He could have sent down angels; never did we hear such a thing (as he says), among our ancestors of old." 24 He is only an insane person. Wait for some time. Perhaps he will come to his senses." 25 [Nuh (Noah)] said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." 26 So We revealed to him, saying: Make the ark before Our eyes and (according to) Our revelation; and when Our command is given and the valley overflows, take into it of every kind a pair, two, and your followers, except those among them against whom the word has gone forth, and do not speak to Me in respect of those who are unjust; surely they shall be drowned. 27 "And as soon as thou and those who are with thee are settled in the ark, say: 'All praise is due to God, who has saved us from those evildoing folk!' 28 And say, "'O my Lord, do Thou harbour me in a blessed harbour, for Thou art the best of harbourers." 29 Verily in this there are Signs (for men to understand); (thus) do We try (men). 30 Then, after them, We created another generation. 31 and We sent amongst them a Messenger of themselves, saying, 'Serve God! You have no god other than He. Will you not be godfearing?' 32
