Kingship (Al-Mulk)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Most Auspicious is He in Whose control is the entire kingship; and He is Able to do all things. 1 Who hath created death and life that He might prove you, as to which of you is excellent in work. And He is the Mighty, the Forgiver. 2 Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder? 3 Then look again and again. Your gaze will come back to you confused and exhausted. 4 And indeed We have beautified the lower heaven with lamps, and have made them weapons against the devils, and have kept prepared for them the punishment of the blazing fire. 5 The chastisement of Hell awaits those who disbelieve in their Lord. What a wretched destination! 6 When they shall be cast therein, they shall hear a loud moaning of it as it heaves, 7 It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, 'Allah never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'" 9 They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell." 10 So will they confess their guilt. Deprived (of all joys) will be the inmates of Hell. 11 Surely those who fear their Lord in the Unseen -- there awaits them forgiveness and a great wage. 12 And whather ye keep your discourse secret or publish it, verily He is the Knower of that which is in the breasts. 13 What! Will He Who has created not know? Whereas He knows every detail, the All Aware! 14
