Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble, recording, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
