The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 Fear He who created you, and the generations of the ancient' 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
