The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 and a mere mortal like us. We think you are a liar. 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
