The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 by the promised day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 by a burning fire 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
