Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 (We said): 'Stamp your foot on the ground, here is cool water with which to wash and a drink' 42 We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. -- 43 We said to Him, "Take a handful of twigs in your hand and strike with that but do not break your oath." We found him steadfast. What an excellent servant! He turned constantly to his Lord. 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 wherein they recline, and wherein they call for fruits abundant, and sweet potions, 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64
