The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 for what they have done 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr). Sent down in Mecca after Joseph (Yousuf) before Animals (Al-An 'aam)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
