And We verily sent Noah unto his folk, and he said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other Allah save Him. Will ye not ward off (evil)? 23 The chiefs of the Unbelievers among his people said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: his wish is to assert his superiority over you: if Allah had wished (to send messengers), He could have sent down angels; never did we hear such a thing (as he says), among our ancestors of old." 24 He is only a man in whom is a madness, so watch him for a while. 25 Noah said, "My Lord, help me! for they have rejected me," 26 We inspired him, saying, "Build the Ark before Our eyes and by the instruction of Our revelation. When our decree comes to pass and water comes forth from the Oven, embark in the Ark with a pair of every kind of animals and your family except those already doomed (to perish). Do not plead with Me for the unjust; they will be drowned." 27 When you and those with you have boarded the ark, say: 'All praise be to God who has delivered us from the people who were sinful.' 28 And say: 'O Lord, disembark me in a welcome place; You are the best of deliverers.' 29 Most surely there are signs in this, and most surely We are ever trying (men). 30 Then after them, We created another generation. 31 and [every time] We sent unto them an apostle from among themselves, [he told them:] "Worship God [alone]: you have no deity other than Him. Will you not, then, become conscious of Him?" 32
