The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 like hidden pearls, 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 but only the saying: 'Peace, Peace' 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 and banana trees, 29 and extended shade, 30 And water poured out 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, 33 And exalted thrones. 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 And made them virginal, 36 full of love, well-matched 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38
