Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
