And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
