Al-Inshiqaaq
The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is rent asunder 1 And attentive to her Lord in fear, 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful, 5 O man, you are striving unto your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 The reckoning of those whose Book of records will be given into their right hands 7 he will in time be called to account with an easy accounting, 8 And he will turn to his people, rejoicing! 9 And as to him who is given his book behind his back, 10 Soon he will pray for death. 11 And be thrown to scorching fire. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 for he never thought that he would have to return [to God]. 14 Why not? His Lord was always watching him. 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 The Night and its Homing; 17 and the moon when it is at the full, 18 Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage. 19 Then what ails them, that they believe not, 20 and when the Koran is recited to them they do not bow? ۩ 21 No, the unbelievers only belie, 22 and God knows very well what they are secreting. 23 So give them tidings of a painful punishment, 24 But those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be a hire unending. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
