And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 About what they used to do. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
