Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and covered them with torment. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
