Did not the disbelievers observe that the heavens and the earth were together, so We parted them, and we made every living thing from water? So will they not accept faith? 30 And We have placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake with them; and We kept wide roads in it, so that they may find guidance. 31 We established the heaven as a well protected roof, yet they still turn away from its signs. 32 It is He who created night and day, the sun and the moon, revolving on its orbit. 33 AND [remind those who deny thee, O Prophet, that] never have We granted life everlasting to any mortal before thee: but do they, perchance, hope that although thou must die, they will live forever?" 34 Everyone is going to taste death, and We shall make a trial of you with evil and with good, and to Us you will be returned. 35 And when the disbelievers see you, they do not appoint you except as an object of mockery; “Is he the one who speaks ill of your Gods?”; whereas they deny the remembrance of the Most Gracious Himself! 36 Man is made of inordinate haste. We will show you Our signs, then you will not desire to hasten (the punishment). 37 They say: "(Tell us) when will the threat of punishment come to pass if you are truthful?" 38 If only those who deny the truth knew the time when they would not be able to ward off the fire neither from their faces nor from their backs. They will not be helped! 39 The fire will suddenly strike and confound them. They will not be able to repel it, nor will they be given any respite. 40 Messengers before thee, indeed, were mocked, but that whereat they mocked surrounded those who scoffed at them. 41
