We created mankind from clay, molded from mud, 26 And the jinn did We create aforetime of essential fire. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 When I have shaped him and ran My created soul in him fall down prostrating towards him'. 29 So, the angels - all of them - fell down in prostration, 30 save Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 God asked Iblis, "What made you not join the others in prostration?" 32 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud." 33 He said: Then go thou forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast. 34 and will be subjected to condemnation until the Day of Judgment." 35 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 36 Said Allah, “You are of those given respite.” 37 till the Day the time whereof is known [to Me alone]." 38 He said, “My Lord! I swear by the fact that You sent me astray, I shall distract them in the earth, and I shall lead all of them astray.” 39 Except the chosen ones among Your creatures." 40 Allah said: "Here is the path that leads straight to Me. 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 And indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 it has seven gates: and each gate has a portion of them allotted to it. 44
