T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
