۞ Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety! 21 On the day when they behold the angels, on that day there will be no good tidings for the guilty; and they will cry: A forbidding ban! 22 And We shall set upon that which they worked, and shall make it as dust wind-scattered. 23 Fellows of the Garden shall be on that Day in a goodly abode and a goodly repose. 24 And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent. 25 The dominion on that Day shall be the true dominion of the Compassionate, and it shall be a day upon the infidels hard. 26 On the Day when the wrong-doer shall gnaw his hands saying: would that I had taken with the apostle a way! 27 "Ah! woe is me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! 28 He indeed led me astray from the Remembrance, after it had come to me; Satan is ever a forsaker of men.' 29 And the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) will say: "O my Lord! Verily, my people deserted this Quran (neither listened to it, nor acted on its laws and orders). 30 Thus, from the sinful people We made enemies for every Prophet. Your Lord is a Sufficient Guide and Helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say: "Why is not the Quran revealed to him all at once?" Thus (it is sent down in parts), that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages. (It was revealed to the Prophet SAW in 23 years.). 32 And they will never bring you an example, but We shall bring you a true narration and better than it. 33 [And so, tell those who are bent on denying the truth that] they who shall be gathered unto hell upon their faces - it is they who [in the life to come] will be worst in station and still farther astray from the path [of truth]! 34
