The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
