The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta'. Sin. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a Clear Book; 1 A guidance and good tidings for the believers, 2 Who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and of the hereafter, they are sure. 3 As for those who do not believe in the Everlasting Life, We have decorated for them their works, and they wander blindly. 4 Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers. 5 And most surely you are made to receive the Quran from the Wise, the Knowing Allah. 6 (Recount to them) when Moses said to his family: "I perceive something like fire: soon will I bring to you some information from there, or I will bring you a burning brand that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when he came to it, he was called: "Blessed is whosoever is in the fire, and whosoever is round about it! And glorified be Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 8 O Musa! verily it is I, Allah, the Mighty the Wise! 9 Cast down your staff' And when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned about retreating, and did not turn back. 'Moses, do not fear, indeed the Messengers do not fear (when they are) with Me, 10 “Except the one* who does injustice and then after evil changes it for virtue – then indeed I am Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Other than the Prophets.) 11 "Now place thy hand into thy bosom: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish!" [And thou shalt go] with nine [of My] messages unto Pharaoh and his people for, verily, they are people depraved!" 12 When Our miracles were visibly shown to them, they said, "It is plain magic". 13 And they belied them (those Ayat) wrongfully and arrogantly, though their ownselves were convinced thereof [i.e. those (Ayat) are from Allah, and Musa (Moses) is the Messenger of Allah in truth, but they disliked to obey Musa (Moses), and hated to believe in his Message of Monotheism]. So see what was the end of the Mufsidun (disbelievers, disobedient to Allah, evil-doers, liars.). 14
