The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
