۞ And when the son of Mary was presented as an example, immediately your people laughed aloud. 57 saying, "Are our gods better or him?" -- they cite him only to challenge you: they are a contentious people -- 58 Jesus was not but a servant upon whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel. 59 And had We willed We could have set among you angels to be viceroys in the earth. 60 It is knowledge of the Hour; doubt not concerning it, and follow me. This is a straight path. 61 Let not Satan hinder you (from believing in the Hour), for surely he is your open enemy. 62 When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me. 63 God is your Lord and my Lord, so worship Him. This is the right path". 64 But parties from among them differed, so woe to those who were unjust because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 Await they aught save the Hour, that it shall come upon them suddenly, when they know not? 66 Friends on that day will be foes one to another, save those who kept their duty (to Allah). 67
