The Wall (Al-Hujuraat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ O ye who believe! be not forward in the presence of Allah and His apostle, and fear Allah; verily Allah is Hearing, Knowing. 1 O you who have attained to faith! Do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and neither speak loudly to him, as you would speak loudly to one another, lest all your [good] deeds come to nought without your perceiving it. 2 Those that lower their voices in the presence of Allah's Messenger,- their hearts has Allah tested for piety: for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. 3 Many of those who call you from outside the apartments are not considerate. 4 for, if they had the patience [to wait] until thou come forth to them [of thine own accord,] it would be for their own good. Still, God is much forgiving, a dispenser of grace. 5 O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done. 6 And know that verily among you is the apostle of Allah. Were he to obey you in many affairs, ye would surely be in trouble, but Allah hath endeared belief to you and hath made it fair-seeming in your hearts, and hath rendered detestable unto you infidelity and wickedness and disobedience. These! they are the men of rectitude. 7 The munificence and favour of Allah; and Allah is All Knowing, Wise. 8 If two parties among the Believers fall into a quarrel, make ye peace between them: but if one of them transgresses beyond bounds against the other, then fight ye (all) against the one that transgresses until it complies with the command of Allah; but if it complies, then make peace between them with justice, and be fair: for Allah loves those who are fair (and just). 9 Surely the believers are none but brothers unto one another, so set things right between your brothers, and have fear of Allah that you may be shown mercy. 10
