The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few of later ages, 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 and serried acacias, 29 and spreading shade 30 Gushing water, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 And have made them virgins. 36 full of love, well-matched 37 For those of the right hand. 38

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
