Seest thou one who turns back, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
