Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
