Al-Najm 3 of 3
So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
