So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
