The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He has created man: 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
