The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few of later ages, 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 and the flesh of birds, as they desire. 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 The Companions of the Right 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 and banana trees, 29 and continuous shade, 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 And fruit abundant. 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 And made them virgins. 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
