The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 You will become three categories: 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 Those on the Left -- how unlucky are those on the Left! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 And spreading shade, 30 and flowing water, 31 and abundant fruits, 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38
