▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And burning in hell. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
