Nay, by the Moon 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning for people -- 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 From the guilty. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
