Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
