The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 And the second followeth it, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
