Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;- 1 Who created death and life in order to try you to see who of you are best of deed. He is all-mighty and forgiving, 2 The One Who created the seven heavens atop each other; do you see any discrepancy in the creation of the Most Gracious? Therefore lift your gaze – do you see any cracks? 3 Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out. 4 And indeed We have beautified the lower heaven with lamps, and have made them weapons against the devils, and have kept prepared for them the punishment of the blazing fire. 5 Those who are bent on blaspheming against their Lord will have the punishment of Hell: an evil destination. 6 When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. 7 well-nigh bursting with fury; [and] every time a host [of such sinners] is flung into it, its keepers will ask them, "Has no warner ever come to you?" 8 And they will answer: "Surely; a warner came to us, but we denied him, and said: 'God did not send down any thing; you are greatly deluded, in fact.'" 9 And they say: Had we been wont to listen or have sense, we had not been among the dwellers in the flames. 10 Thus will they come to realize their sins: but [by that time,] remote will have become all good from those who are destined for the blazing flame. 11 Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward. 12 Whether you speak in secrecy or aloud, (it is all the same to Allah). He even knows the secrets that lie hidden in the breasts of people. 13 Shall He who has created (all things) not know? He is the Subtle, the Aware. 14
