Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
