The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
