The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
