Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble scribes, 11 They know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
