Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
