Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble recorders, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
