Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Honorable recorders, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
Almighty God's Truth.
