Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 unfattening, unappeasing hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 In a high Garden. 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 and on the sky, how it is raised aloft, 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
