Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
