The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 and by the day as it appears radiantly, 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 observe piety, and believe in receiving rewards from God. 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, 12 And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 who gives the lie to the truth and turns away [from it]. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High. 20 and such, indeed, shall in time be well-pleased. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
