Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 And raiding at dawn 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
